Mercedes-Benz and smart online stores: Shaping the future of sales.

As integral part of the Best Customer Experience initiative Daimler AG is taking major steps towards „sales of the future“ (Vertrieb der Zukunkt) by offering its cars online.

Daimlers online stores enable a complete online buying experience, where customers can choose from a wide range of preconfigured vehicles or special editions, choose their lease or finance plan, easily order online (including video-identification) and get the car delivered to their doorstep.

On top of that, customers profit from a wide range of dialogue options that support them in their buying decision, like live-chat, callback, online test drive booking etc..

I helped deliver the first online stores  for Mercedes-Benz (Germany) and smart (Italy & UK) as MVPs and helped to continuously improve the online buying experience over the course of 4 years.

My role: UX Lead strategy, execution (MVP), continuous improvement

Agency: NOLTE&LAUTH

Team: UX - Philip Hoppe, Art Direction - Markus Mannes & Thomas Borowiak, Development - Michael Sindlinger, Product Management - Silke Heumann, Fabian Klotz
